The best of Mauritius to visit

It's already August 6th. It's been a few days since we returned from Mauritius. Here our trip ends and with it the "on-board newspaper" which, as in Jordan and Burma, has had the usefulness of having families quiet and, for those who like travel, to give our vision of the country.

The truth is that we have had a very good taste in this trip. It has not been the 12 days discovering the Muslim world, the lands of Moses, the exciting city of Petra or the deserts of Lawrence of Arabia (Jordan), nor those 19 days lost by the Bagan plateaus, the sunsets in U Bein or watching the life of Inle Lake (Burma). This trip has been that trip that many people need from time to time in their life. Relax, rest, disconnect from the world when you need it most. Many times we usually combine the Mauritius Islands with a safari through Kenya or Tanzania, but in this case spending 2 days in Paris celebrating the birthday has been very successful.Perhaps when you need a vacation, 11 days are few and it is the only thing that we would put the trip ... we would have needed 15 days, hehehe, but who not?

Mauritius Islands They are a very particular island. Portuguese, Dutch, French and English have passed. The Dutch ate the "Dodós", the French gave the language, the English the infrastructure and colonial houses, and yet the population is descended from Africans and especially Indians. The same goes for landscapes, from beaches and turquoise waters to mountains full of vegetation or lands of different colors, lakes, cliffs, craters, waterfalls ...

Thanks to all who did not write but We know they are there and they have read us as Vero, Helena, Angeles, Juve, Routine, Pure, Mama de Mauxi (where have you been?), Manu and Chelo, Psocy, Xemita, Rebeca, David, Tilo, Isaac's family in Madrid (Jose, Keti, Enrique ... ), Sofi and I don't know how many we can forget ...

(Dedicated to my cousins) It is not so easy to choose the path, it is not so easy to walk without knowing that you have chosen the right path. I think that everything depends on the values and priorities, knowing how to value in life is very difficult, together with fear is my great limitation. With fear you will never enjoy the road, the environment, the experience, and everything around you.... Enjoy and walk your way.Isaac> Sometimes one does not realize that some elections can do much more harm than one thinks, if someone has been offended to continue using my website ... sorry, it has never been something intended.

! UP TO THE NEXT TRIP !!!

WE DIDN'T LIKE:
- Floreal, definitely. So much fame that Ralph Lauren brand clothes and imitations had and we were very disappointed. Neither the clothes were anything from another world, nor the Floreal area had especially cool stores, nor was it especially cheap (we would dare to say that even more expensive than in Spain)
PICHÍ-PICHÁ:
- Standard of living, Nothing was especially cheap, just the souvenirs. Although fancy meals were cheap- The changing weather, which gave us a somewhat cloudy 7 day in which we perish a lot- Los beach corals, that after the passing of the years it has been breaking and makes you go to bathe to prick you a little. In general the corals near the hotel were nothing of the other world.
WE LOVED IT:
- He population treatment and the staff of Le Meridiem Maurice
- The foods from the hotel, a luxury for anyone (from Lobster at the foot of the beach, to minimalist food in a luxury restaurant, to thematic meals every day at the buffet) - The curipide crater- He landscape of the 7 lands and the mix of contrasts throughout the island (beach, nature, animals, beautiful sunsets ...) - The environment and shopping from the Bay of Port Louis- El Botanical Garden.
ESSENTIAL / ONCE IN LIFE:

THE ISLAND OF THE DEER
The curious effect of deep water, shallow water ...
... the turquoise and crystalline blue ...
... the beach, relax, paradise ...
... the Catamaran tour ...
... and, of course, the barbecue !!!

L'VAINILLE

A mini-zoo with a multitude of species ...
... from wild boars, deer or monkeys ...
... but especially impressive are ...
... THE GIANT TURTLES !!…
... which we saw for the first time in life

THE CHAMAREL WATERFALL
A beautiful waterfall ...
... in one of the most beautiful places
A mixture of contrasts
A place to go for a picnic or ...
... spend a quiet weekend

HOTEL LE MERIDIEM MAURICE
Of the best we've ever been
The Nirvana room with beach and private area…
... THE GREAT TRIP OF THE TRIP ...
... a multitude of bars and restaurants of all kinds ...
