Ending our adventure on the island in the Trip to Cuba 2008 We ended up in the town of Viñales, before returning to Havana.

Viñales It is located in the middle of the mountains of the Guaniguanico mountain range and in the Natural Park declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. Here is the famous Indian Cave, the Mural of Prehistory and the fabulous Mirador de los Jazmines.

On this trip we didn't have any previous information of places to stay. The road and improvisation would take us to what would finally be our destinations, all of them (except in Havana and Cayo Levisa) in private homes of Cubans themselves, which would not give a vision much closer to the life of the country. Here in Viñales we would end up in Elisa House.

That is why we go directly to the “GUIDED VISIT” of the accommodation with details and impressions it has caused us.

In Viñales there are many small houses and the vast majority offer lodging service. We do not know very well why we ended up giving this house, run by three women among whom is Elisa. Its price was of 20 CUC Both per night.

The Location Casa Elisa does not encourage you to get lost, since it is on the street parallel to the main street, less than 5 minutes from the Main Square where the "night party" is. There we can park the car without problems next to a nice front porch of the house.

The room It is located at the back of it, in what was formerly surely a pen or something similar. It is perfectly equipped with 2 beds and all kinds of basic facilities.

Also the bath, although small, it perfectly meets our needs.

Everything is in perfect condition cleaning.

Talk about breakfast, as in the rest of private Cuban houses for which we have been staying, is to speak of abundance and variety (various types of juice, coffee, fried eggs, fruit of all kinds, infusions ...). !!! GREAT !! and for only 3 CUC per person.

Perhaps, and to put a paste, in cool season (as it caught us) the room is not warm enough and in the morning when showering we spend a little "fresquete".

Juve's reflections: "Casa Elisa, in Viñales, we will define as Trinidad II. Here we felt the heat of the Cuban people again, we became friends with a group of people with whom we ended up drinking and chatting until the wee hours of the morning. After trying to eat something in a kind of self-service with the singers of the orchestra and a girl who was twice as Shakira with an uncle stuck around her neck who kept tidying up. We said goodbye and went to take our friend the guajiro to his house, who lived to take x ... Courtesy of the house and hand of Isaac, and why not? we are from Galicia and as here we say "maloerá" jajajajaja"

The we would recommend? Without a doubt, yes. Another house recommended by CHAVETAS.ES
