Hiya Spain !! The trip today led us to the city of Monywa, 136 km from Mandalay. It was the last colonial city that we had to discover, and the visit promised from the beginning.

There was only a small inconvenience ... that 136 km in Burma is like 2500 km in Spain, by God! What roads !!!! Here they have not discovered that of making roads yet. It is a very serious problem. We thought that the road to the Golden Rock was by orography, but today… IT WAS ALL FLAT !!! And it was best to see the locals fixing them to gravel buckets and heating oil in fires. Amos, that Seixo, Queixas or Oviga around here are lined with 2 oxen and a crane truck, hahaha. Anyway ... Q we have the SQUARE ass of the trip, like egg cups. Luckily we have that healthy, slender and tasty ass that God has given us, hahaha.

We arrived around 9:30 at the Monywa pier and took a "ferry"(juas) to the other shore. Tomorrow was going to be an expedition, Indiana Jones type, towards some caves on the way to India.

While saving water from all the laos of the "ferry", we reached the other side without relative problems. There we catch? Well, if we have already gone by taxi, taxi-broom, horse carriage, van, rowing boat, motor boat and cleopatra plan, etc ..., what we needed was a jeep, but for !! 5 !!! Total that we got into the vegetation with the way of the famous Caves of Hpo Win Daung.

The caves were 45 minutes away, and there were some very special friends, with whom I had a good relationship, jijij

The moneria stayed behind, and from there we went back to Monywa, visiting the old market before going to eat

The turn, seeing the roads, we took the opportunity to make two stops at two very important clowns in Mandalay.

- Thanboddhay Paya: The only one in this typology in Myanmar, from the 19th century and reminiscent of Borobudur, in Indonesia.

- Bodhi Tataung: a field of more than 1000 Buddhas, and where they are building a giant standing Buddha.

With this we return to the hotel, where we have just arrived now. A very tired day.

The trip takes another direction. We leave Mandalay and interest in Burma grows as everyone says, now we go to the most beautiful area of all Burma: BAGAN. There we will have a balloon trip, we will go to Mt. Popa, to Kalaw to do trekking, to the jewel of Burma: Inle Lake ... but weno, that's another story.

Tomorrow, taking advantage of the fact that we are tired and that the roads are insufferable, we will go down to Bagan on an all-day cruise on the Irrawaday River, arriving at sunset. From here we do not know how much internet we can have, so families, if you see that we do not write, do not worry, we will call you from Kalaw, but do not worry. We enter the most archeological area of Burma ...

Isaac, from Mandalay (Myanmar)

EXPENSES OF THE DAY: 9,500 MMK (approx 6eu)
